conscious motherhood workshop
This 4 week-long group workshop is intended for women who are interested in exploring their own personal growth during the first year after giving birth. The workshop was designed to help participants become a realistic version of the mothers they want to be.
Although having a baby might seem like the period in life when we have the least time left for ourselves, in another way it represents an enormous opportunity. As we welcome this new child into our lives, we also have a chance to welcome a new version of ourselves. This is based on an enormously empowering truth: we are each responsible for our own self-creation. Even when utterly sleep-deprived we are capable of profound emotional, interpersonal and psychological growth.
Each week, we will explore a series of important themes that combine psychological education, individual insights, and group discussion. Each participant will receive a workbook to complete on her own, to help guide the process as she steadily examines and reframes her own maternal identity through a systematic and supportive program. While this is not group therapy and is not intended for the treatment of perinatal mood disorders, the workshop is appropriate for all mothers who are interested in taking control of their own wellness journey.
Many women find the conscious motherhood workshop not only transformational, but also a joyful experience. Unlike conventional therapy, which people seek when they need relief from symptoms of a problem, the Conscious Motherhood Workshop is a proactive approach to emotional wellness. It’s shifting the paradigm from one of fixing a problem to choosing who we want to be as mothers. It’s exciting, audacious and enormously empowering to realizing that our identities aren’t fixed in stone.
